![]() Guitar Member since April, 2007 ![]() Neil's teaching experience includes assistant director in the Port Arthur ISD, Director of Bands of the Hardin-Jefferson High School Band, and he is currently the head director at SFA Middle School in the Pt. Arthur ISD. Neil's wife Patty is another gifted and talented musician in southeast Texas. He and Patty have two beautiful children. Neil holds memberships in Kappa Kappa Psi fraternity, Texas Bandmaster's Association, and Texas Music Educator's Association.
Gene Badgett Piano Member since August, 2007 ![]() He has played first trumpet in the Philharmonia Orchestra of Philadelphia, the Omaha Symphony Orchestra, the Omaha Opera Company, the Grand Teton Music Festival Orchestra, the Beaumont Symphony Orchestra (now named the Symphony of Southeast Texas), and the Beaumont Civic Ballet Orchestra. His trumpet playing can also be heard on several Mannheim Steamroller recordings. In addition to teaching at three colleges, Gene also taught in the Texas public schools for 21 years. He now teaches band at both All Saints Episcopal School and Monsignor Kelly Catholic High School. He also plays piano in Jimbo's Dixie Revue, a local Dixieland band. On top of this,Gene is also a former Certified Public Accountant.
Terry Bourdier
Bass ![]() Baton Rouge native Terry Bourdier holds Bachelor of Music Education and Master of Education degrees from LSU. He was a high school band director for 14 years and has over 40 years of experience playing various styles of music, including jazz, rock, dixieland, bluegrass and country. Terry is a lifetime member of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia and Kappa Kappa Psi, memberships he shares with his three sons who are also outstanding musicians. In the summer of 2005, Terry, along with his bandmates from a 1960's showband, was inducted into the Louisiana Entertainment Hall of Fame. Photo by Mark M. Hancock, Beaumont Enterprise. For the last 21 years, he has served the community as Executive Director for the United Way of Beaumont, and also plays with an acoustic roots band, the Book of Days. http://www.bookofdaysband.com Daryl Wilson Drums (Founding Member) ![]() After high school Daryl went on to study music at Lamar University where he distinguished himself as "the hot drummer" with Jimmy Simmons Jazz Band. Daryl left school to pursue a professional touring/playing career for some years, playing with Stuart Rojo, Mike Smith, and Gary Weldon. He eventually came back to Lamar, however, finishing his music education degree and fulfilling his dream of becoming a successful band director. Daryl began his teaching career in the Little Cypress-Mauriceville school district as an assistant at Little Cypress Junior High for 4 years and as head director for 2 more years before accepting a teaching position in his hometown of Nederland. Initially, he was a roving director who taught percussion at all three campuses, but it soon became apparent that he was fully qualified to direct a band of his own. When the position came open in 1991 at C.O. Wilson Middle School, Daryl was given the nod and served in the capacity of head director for the next 15 years. Besides his rock and roll experiences, Daryl has performed as a set drummer and in the percussion section with the Symphony of Southeast Texas performing with guest stars such as The Manhattan Rhythms Kings and Ben Toth. He has played drum set with Carol Lawrence and Robert Goulet, Blackstone the Magician and the Lullaby of Broadway Review. He has performed on shows with Dionne Warwick, Burt Bacharach, Debbie Reynolds, Donald O'Connor, Frank Sinatra Jr. and Johnny Mathis as a percussionist. Other groups he has performed with include the Concert Band of Southeast Texas, the Jimmy Simmons Orchestra, the Wayne Dyess Orchestra, the Dyess/Rogers Band, Jimbo’s Dixie Revue, and of course the Night & Day Orchestra. Daryl Wilson holds or has held memberships in Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia fraternity, Texas Music Educators Association, Texas Bandmaster's Association, the National Association of Military Marching Bands, and the National Association of Rudimental Drummers (NARD).
